Important: Update SOS Agent by Restarting Your Printers

The deadline for updating the SOS agent by restarting your label printer, as initially announced on August 9, 2023, under "Request for Updating SOS Agent by Restarting Printers," is rapidly approaching. We understand the significance of this matter and want to ensure you have the necessary information.

We are pleased to inform you that we have taken measures to enhance the security of SOS cloud by updating the SOS agent, the communication program between your label printer and SOS cloud. This security-improved version ensures that you can confidently use SOS connection without any concerns.


The update for SOS agent will be automatically applied when you restart the label printer. Therefore, we kindly request customers who use the printer continuously with the power on to restart the label printer to ensure the SOS agent is updated to the latest version.


For customers who turn off the printer power every day, customers using non-applicable models, and customers using the printer via non-SOS connection mode, there is no need to restart the label printers.

SOS Agent Update Period: August 9, 2023, to January 15, 2024.
※Please restart your label printer within this period to update SOS agent to latest version. If you block connection to GitHub, please update it manually.

To our valued customers who utilize the printer 24/7 with the power on, we kindly request that you restart the label printer whenever it is not in use. This action will update your printer with the latest SOS agent version. Your cooperation in this matter will greatly benefit your printing operations and enable us to provide you with the best possible support. Thank you for your attention to this request.


[Risk if Failed to Upgrade Your SOS Agent on time]
Failure to update to the latest SOS agent by January 15, 2024, will result in the inability to communicate between the label printer and the SOS cloud after January 16, 2024. This will prevent preventive maintenance.
In addition, if communication with the SOS cloud cannot be established, an error message may be displayed on the label printer's LCD, potentially affecting printing.
