Along with server maintenance, the following new SOS features have been released.


New and Improved SOS features

  • ①Introducing preventive battery maintenance to monitor battery health to ensure safe and efficient usage.
  • ②Improved notification setting as below:
    • ・Revised condition of notification setting in company information and user information.
      In addition, for a more targeted approach to printers based on location, you have the flexibility to enable or disable email reception settings through location management.
      *Following the maintenance completion, the initial configuration intended to carry over existing notifications settings. However, users might still receive long-time disconnection notifications if this option is enabled in the "email distribution setting of user information." Users who wish to avoid such notifications, please deactivate this option in the "email distribution setting of user information.".
    • ・Initially, when a printer is newly registered in SOS, critical error and long-time disconnection notifications are enabled by default. After the maintenance, these default settings for error notifications will be “disabled”.
    • ・Revised the categorization of 'battery degradation' from battery to serious error.
    • ・Revised the categorization of ‘worn out battery’ from serious error to battery.
    • ・Newly added information guide to send notification via email when system maintenance/system trouble happens.
  • ③Improved device status information when irregular situation occurred.
    • ・If not connected to network for 60minutes or longer, the status will become "DISCONNECT."
    • ・If not connected for 30days via QR/NFC connection, the status will become "DISCONNECT."
      *For Lite mode, if not connected for 60minutes or longer, the status will become "DISCONNECT."
  • ④Introducing batch email notification to customer from SOS cloud service for timely updates on system maintenance or issue.
  • ⑤Improved colors to display usage rate for parts replacement in device information detail screen as below:
    • 1%-59%: blue; 60%-79%: green; 80%-99%: yellow; 100% or over: red
  • ⑥Added "terms of use" in the Menu so that user can check SOS terms of use.
