Apology and notification regarding SOS system failure

Due to the system failure of SOS(SATO Online Services) occurred the other day, this service could not be used during the failure period. We would like to express our sincere apology to the customers and the relevant parties for the inconvenience and trouble we have caused this time.



We have confirmed that the trouble occurred this time was database-related and NOT an external attack or caused by computer virus.

We will continue to reinforce our services in the future and your understanding will be appreciated. Details of the system failure, influence on the customers, and preventive measures are described below.



Details of the trouble failure



<Date and time the trouble occurred>

"From Friday, June 4, 2021 at around 9pm to Monday, June 7, 2021 at around 9pmDue to the database-related trouble, SOS services could not be used by some customers."

"From Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at around 9pm to at around 10:30pm Due to the database-related trouble, many customers could not log in to SOS site and could not use SOS services."



<Influence on the customers>

-During the system failure, the SOS services could not be used.

-During the above periods, email messages of the critical errors occurred in the printer could not be distributed.



<Preventive measure>

-The trouble occurred this time was due to the bug detected in the database. Permanent measures and preventive measures have already been taken and completed on July 9, 2021.
